I always feel such comfort from that verse. I teach all freshmen and I'm inspired by their enthusiasm and hope not only for their own lives but for the world. Hope can be contagious. The poet, Amanda Gorman reminds us, "There is always light, if only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it." This serves as a reminder to me and to my students, sometimes we are the hope for one another. God lives in each of us and so does that hope.
