We are readying students for whom they will become, for their life's calling. While we cannot always immediately see what we are cultivating in students, we must have hope and trust that what we do every day -even and especially the small things- makes a significant difference in the lives of our students.
Dolène Laurent spoke about hope as a "way of waiting." We have the opportunity to remind students that while waiting takes patience, it is also a time of preparation for what comes next.
Thank you for your reflection. In Australia, our senior students will undertake their final exams in a few weeks time and they are very much looking forward to the future, despite all the uncertainty that they face. I really like your final comment and feel it would offer my students some hope especially when they may become fearful or unsure of their direction.
